Terms of Service

Last updated September 16, 2026

Bilancio Money shows you your own money. It cannot move it, spend it, or touch it. These terms cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

Bilancio Money is operated by Guardiano del Faro LLC ("Bilancio", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. What Bilancio is

Bilancio is a read-only personal finance dashboard. It connects to accounts you already have, reads balances and transactions, and presents them — categorised, totalled, charted and projected.

Bilancio cannot move money. It cannot make payments, transfer funds, open or close accounts, or change anything at your bank. The connection is read-only in both directions: we can see, and that is all we can do.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18, be a resident of the United States, and be connecting accounts that belong to you. We may decline or withdraw access. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything done through your account.

3. This is early software

Bilancio is in active development. Features change, appear and are removed. We work to keep it running and your history safe, but we do not guarantee uptime or that data can never be lost. Support is by email at support@bilanciomoney.com and is answered as promptly as we can.

4. It is not financial advice

Nothing in Bilancio is financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice. We are not a bank, a broker, a lender, or a licensed advisor, and we have no fiduciary duty to you.

Budgets, forecasts and projections in the app are arithmetic performed on your own past transactions. A forecast is what the recent past would imply if it repeated — it is not a prediction, a promise, or a recommendation. Decisions you make after looking at Bilancio are yours.

5. Accuracy, and its limits

The data comes from your financial institutions by way of Plaid. We present what we receive. It may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, mis-categorised or wrong, for reasons including:

Your bank's own records are authoritative, not ours. Do not rely on Bilancio for tax filing, loan applications, legal proceedings, or any purpose where being wrong carries a real cost. Check with your bank.

6. Connecting accounts, and Plaid

Bank connections are made through Plaid. When you link an account you are also agreeing to Plaid's terms and privacy policy, and your credentials go to Plaid rather than to us. You can review and revoke every connection you have ever made through Plaid at Plaid Portal.

You confirm that you own or are authorised to access any account you connect.

7. Your data

What we collect and what we do with it is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we use it to run the product, we do not sell it, and you can have it deleted.

Categories, rules and notes you create are yours. We claim no ownership of them and make no use of them beyond operating the service for you.

8. Acceptable use

Do not:

9. Price, free trial and subscriptions

Bilancio costs $4.99 a month or $47.90 a year, paid in one go, which works out at just under $4.00 a month. Prices are in US dollars and may be different where a store sets its own local price. Any sales tax that applies is added at checkout.

The free trial

Your first 14 days are free, counted from the day you first connect a bank rather than the day you sign up. During the trial you can connect up to two banks; once you subscribe there is no limit. One bank connection covers every account you hold at that bank.

The free trial does not turn into a paid subscription by itself unless you chose a subscription with a free period at checkout — in that case the checkout shows you the date the first charge happens. You are never charged without entering payment details and agreeing to the charge first.

If the trial ends and you have not subscribed, you are not charged. Your account becomes view-only: what is already there stays visible, but syncing, adding banks and making changes need a subscription. The same happens if a subscription ends. Seven days after access ends we close your bank connections at Plaid. Your history is kept, as the Privacy Policy describes, until you delete your account; if you subscribe later, connect the bank again to bring it up to date.

Renewal and cancelling

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly or yearly period, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling stops the next renewal; we do not refund part of a period already started, except where the law or the store you paid through requires it.

Where you subscribe decides who takes the payment and where you cancel. Subscribe on the website and payment is handled by Stripe; cancel from your account page. Subscribe inside the iPhone app and payment is handled by Apple, and Apple requires that you cancel it through your Apple account — Settings, your name, then Subscriptions. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription on your behalf, and prices may differ between the two.

Card details are handled by Stripe or Apple and are never sent to us or stored by us. Refunds for subscriptions bought in the iPhone app are decided by Apple under its own policies. If we change the price, we will tell you before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does.

10. Ending it

You can stop using Bilancio at any time and delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it first, as described in section 9. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if a provider we depend on requires it, or if we stop operating the service — in which case we will give you what notice we reasonably can.

11. No warranty

Bilancio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the data shown will be correct or complete.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bilancio and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost savings, or lost data, arising from your use of the service — including any decision you made on the basis of what it showed you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to USD $100, or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Bilancio against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your connecting an account you were not authorised to connect.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes we will tell you — by email or in the app — before they take effect. Continuing to use Bilancio afterwards means you accept the revised terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.
